Doctor graduated from the University of Costa Rica and Professor of the Faculty of Medicine.Specialization studies at the University of London, England, Public Health Administration, in Japan and different seminars, courses and conferences.
He worked in various levels throughout the world in several institution including Mexico Hospital, National Children’s, Alajuela, Calderón Guardia. United Nations Refugee Program., Advisor to the Ministry of Science and Technology, Director of the Refugee Health Program, UNHCR, in Honduras.
He is very active in the development of good community throughout the world which include Executive President of the Latin American Medical Organization for Disasters, President of the National Democratic Organization, President of the Foundation for Disarmament and Peace Promotion, President of the Costa Rica XXI Century Association.
Founder of several organizations, including: International Federation XXI Century Society; Calderón Guardia Hospital Foundation; Latin American Medical Organization for Emergencies and Disasters; Organization for Regional Development, Pan American Medical Clinic; 21st Century Communication Foundation and International Foundation for Postgraduate Studies.
He has published several books, among which are: Occupational Status of the Physician in Costa Rica; An Integrated Health Model in San Carlos, Costa Rica; Helminthiasis in Nicaraguan Refugee Children; The Effects of Nuclear Weapons; Let’s keep life on the planet and Heading to the 21st century. In addition, he has published more than one hundred articles in national and international magazines and newspapers
