ARE: Lecoque named head
The Brussels-based Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) has appointed Belgian renewables policy, regulation and business development specialist David Lecoque as the decentralised renewable energy industry association’s new chief executive. A qualified lawyer at the Brussels Bar, Lecoque has previously taken a lead on major ARE projects, including work with the Africa-EU Energy Partnership. Founded in 2006, the ARE’s membership has been growing, to over 170 now, in line with the wider industry’s growth in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
